IMPORTANT LINC NEWS
LINC in New York awarded a two-year $100,000 grant to KC Artist LINC (now known as KCArtistLink) to provide new professional development opportunities and resources in the metro area. The funding helped to create Artist, INC, a series of career building and professional development workshops for artists, and the new KCArtistLink website, a network connection service of resources that provides information about business-building and support programs to all artists throughout the region.
Artist, INC seminars are held at least twice a year, providing 25 artists at a time with an 8 week course of Monday night sessions that focus on professional development and entrepreneurial training for emerging and mid-career artists. The next application deadline will be December 1, 2009 and application details will be posted soon.
