ArtsKC - The Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City is pleased to partner once again with Highwoods Properties and Bank of America to facilitate non-profit participation in the Plaza Art Fair. "Experience ArtsKC" provides a venue for local arts organizations to showcase their offerings and is designed to educate the public about Kansas City's diverse arts community.
Grab a Passport to the Arts from the ArtsKC/Bank of America booth at the intersection of Broadway and Nichols Road. Travel from booth to booth to Discover the Arts for YOU! Once you have collected all your stamps, return your passport to the ArtsKC/Bank of America booth to be entered to win a wide variety of prizes, from theatre tickets to DVDs and gift certificates!
The Plaza Art Fair will be celebrating its 81st year this season. Started in 1932, the Plaza was looking for new ways to attract customers and lift people's spirits during the depression and with 90 artists on an empty lot, the Plaza Art Fair was born. Now grown to nine city blocks and catering to over 250,000 people, as residents and visitors experience this top-rated nationally recognized event. Last year over 240 artists from across the nation gathered with 26 restaurants and three live stages to create an unforgettable event that brings together good food, good music, and a variety of artists over a three day fair.
