What is the ArtsKC Fund?
Managed by the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City, the ArtsKC Fund raises money to support a wide range of arts organizations, arts programs, and artists throughout the area.
ArtsKC Fund grants:
- provide stable sources of new financial support for the arts;
- broaden access to high-quality arts experiences; and
- foster excellence in the arts and arts administration.
Grants are awarded to organizations, programs, and individuals in three categories:
Inspiration Grants β 5% of the Fund is awarded to individual artists and arts professionals for projects or career development.
Catalyst Grants β 25% of the Fund is awarded for a variety of arts projects and activities such as programs for youth, for families, and for organizations that make the arts more accessible and inclusive.
Ovation Grants β 70% of the Fund is awarded to firmly established not-for-profit arts organizations that have broad reach and impact throughout the metropolitan area. All recipients serve the region with performances, programs, and exhibitions that have a combined annual attendance of more than 1.8 million audience members.
