Leveraging Investments in Creativity (LINC) in New York awarded a two-year $100,000 grant to KCArtistLink to provide new professional development opportunities and resources for artists in the metro area. The funding helped to create 

Artist INC, a series of career building and professional development workshops for artists, and the KCArtistLink website, a network connection service of resources that provides information about business-building and support programs to all artists throughout the region.  A second two-year grant for 2011 and 2012 ensured that KCArtistLink programs would continue and expand.     

Artist, INC seminars are now held at least twice a year, providing 25 artists at a time with an 8 week course of Monday night sessions that focus on professional development and entrepreneurial training for emerging and mid-career artists.
